MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/12/13 -- Couchbase, a leader in NoSQL database technology and the company behind the Couchbase open source project, today announced the expansion of its breakthrough mobile strategy, JSON Anywhere, to China. Couchbase CEO Bob Wiederhold will make the announcement at the annual Mobile Developer Conference, the largest mobile developer conference in China, to be held in Beijing on November 13 - 14, 2013.
The announcement of the mobile strategy in China comes less than three months after Couchbase reported 400 percent growth and an additional $25 million in funding to drive product innovation and international expansion.
The Couchbase JSON Anywhere strategy is targeted at mobile application developers who want to create highly responsive, data-centric applications that are always available regardless of network connectivity. JSON Anywhere means: JSON on the device, JSON on the wire, and JSON in the cloud. Data stored in Couchbase Lite on a mobile device is seamlessly synchronized with the Couchbase Server in the cloud, enabling the simple development of a new class of occasionally connected, data intensive mobile applications.
At the developer conference, Wiederhold will announce that in expanding the mobile strategy to China, Couchbase Lite, Couchbase Sync Gateway and Couchbase Cloud will now be available for developers in the region.
It is estimated that the Mobile Developer Conference in China will have more than 10,000 developers in attendance. Couchbase presentations during the conference will include:
Beta Community Edition releases of Couchbase Lite and Couchbase Sync Gateway are available for immediate download. Couchbase Cloud is available for immediate use. For more details go to: mobile.couchbase.com/cn.
