BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 12/05/13 -- Directors can now do more, thanks to the new version 5.0 of BoardWorks, Computershare Governance Services' board portal solution. BoardWorks gives directors and board administrators the tools to help them manage their board responsibilities more effectively and efficiently, in a new app that's easier than ever to use.
"There are many tasks that demand directors' immediate attention, such as reviewing the latest board book changes, signing off on a critical resolution or providing input on a key vote. Our clients need a way to stay connected to their boards and complete these tasks, wherever they might be, even when there's no Internet connection," said Andrew Moore, President, Computershare Governance Services. "BoardWorks 5.0 offers a full offline experience to make it easy for directors to take advantage of their downtime in an easy-to-use and secure app."
Key enhancements for directors include the auto-syncing of data and workflows for faster approvals, and simplified views for multi-board users. BoardWorks 5.0 also features greater personalisation with a fully configurable home page, integration with Apple Calendar, and new language options for French, Spanish, German, and Russian.
"Some board portal apps can get lost in the technology - getting overly complicated in their navigation and becoming confusing to use," said Tony Ford, Global Head, Product Management. "We worked very hard to find a balance of usability and functionality in this new release. BoardWorks 5.0 is extremely intuitive and easy to use. It offers a combination of usability, data security and overall value that is important to our clients and today's board of directors."
BoardWorks 5.0 is now available for download at iTunes. To learn more about the features in this new release or to schedule a demo, please visit www.cgs.computershare.com/bw5.
