In the past, Beyond Nines used traditional disk-bound storage systems to host customer instances of Blackbaud® software and its related infrastructure VMs, such as Active Directory and IIS servers. SQL queries in Beyond Nines' fully virtualized environment regularly took as much as six hours to complete, hampering customer productivity. Scaling storage infrastructure to accommodate new VMs was also prohibitively difficult and time consuming.

By deploying Tintri storage, Beyond Nines increased its VM density and reduced database application reporting time by 99 percent. The new storage solution improved efficiency so much that Beyond Nines was able to expand into a second data center without adding a single member to its administrative staff.
