ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/12/13 -- Liaison Technologies, a global integration and data management company, today announced a new version of its Contivo data transformation solution, which now includes Interface Intuition, Semantic Intuition and dynamic data sourcing. The new features in Contivo 5.5 help enterprises increase data transformation productivity and accuracy, while ensuring flexibility in data map execution. Coupled with the earlier release of Liaison's Map Intuition, the addition of Interface Intuition and Semantic Intuition round out Liaison's suite of artificial intelligence-based solutions focused on leveraging the power of data inference to help automate data transformation.
"The ability to transform data so that it can be shared seamlessly across information systems, applications and processes is often the biggest data integration hurdle for companies," said Robert Fox, vice president of application development for Liaison. "With Interface Intuition and Semantic Intuition enterprise customers now have a way to work with data directly to automatically build and govern data integrations more efficiently and cost effectively. The collective power of the Liaison Contivo Intuition Suite simplifies the entire data transformation and data mapping process, allowing enterprises to remove data sharing barriers and evolve their business."
Traditionally a manual process, data transformation poses multiple challenges for enterprises. In particular, the process of modeling data sources to targets to generate interfaces and create data mapping transformation rules can be both time consuming and error-prone. With Liaison Interface Intuition, companies can rapidly generate data mapping interfaces by analyzing and inferring layouts based upon the structure and content of sample data. Interface Intuition allows enterprises to quickly improve source to target matching with fewer errors, resulting in increased productivity and accuracy in interface generation. Companies can save hours to days worth of work depending on the data model. Interface Intuition is extremely useful when working with data types that do not have a self-describing definition, such as EDI, CSV, fixed-width files, JSON or XML that does not have a DTD or Schema. Additionally, the interactive, visual UI allows users to work directly with the data models, further reducing the time it takes to create interfaces.
Semantic Intuition enables enterprises to derive a starter vocabulary and data model based on actual information used in the company's data integrations. This process of creating canonical data models provides input that allows companies to create services more efficiently and easily, while also aligning the services with the enterprise data model. In turn, companies can perform impact analysis and govern their data integrations more effectively. Here, the intuitive, web-based UI helps enterprises define, maintain and review canonical models in a centralized repository.
Underlying the release of Contivo 5.5 is the introduction of dynamic data sourcing. Dynamic data sourcing allows for maps to execute on data that is either not part of the original source data set provided at map execution time, or does not conform to the predefined interface. By enabling enterprises to query or parse real-time data to input into map execution, companies have added data mapping flexibility to deliver more timely and accurate results. Dynamic sourcing is particularly useful when dealing with iterative or embedded data collections, such as row sets in a database as a result of an ad-hoc query at map runtime.
