In an annual survey, Business Solutions asked its value-added reseller (VAR) subscribers to evaluate their vendor partners. Resellers rated their vendors on a scale of 0 (worst) to 5 (best) in seven categories: service/support, channel friendliness, channel program, product features, product reliability, product innovation and adequate VAR margins.

The 2014 survey garnered a total of 4,680 validated votes from 2,508 participants. Cumulative scores were determined for each vendor by adding up their scores in each of the seven categories and dividing that number by the amount of votes. Vendors who scored within the top five percent of each surveyed technology category were named 2014 Best Channel Vendors.

This year's survey participants demonstrated a high level of satisfaction with Star Micronics products. The company received exceptional scores in categories such as channel friendliness and product reliability.
