SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/15/12 -- Daptiv, the on-demand leader in project portfolio management software, today announced that Informa, a global publishing and conference organization, has selected Daptiv PPM to manage resources and better execute on project portfolio management. The company's adoption of Daptiv PPM has grown by 500 percent in just over two years across several large global business units.

Informa's Project Management Office (PMO) oversees all IT projects for the company, at both the group and business levels. Previously, the organization relied on several disparate systems to track projects, with no centralized place to store and access project information. Without a software tool to provide visibility into the interdependencies associated with a project, it was difficult to assess why and where projects were falling behind.

Informa has created several custom applications using Daptiv's Dynamic Applications, including a project scorecard and applications that provide benefit/cost analysis. These allow Informa to determine a project's fit in supporting the overall business by identifying costs, potential risks, resource issues and more before a decision is made to green light a project.

Additionally, Informa uses Daptiv PPM to view the resource requirements of potential projects and compare that against current works in progress. As a global organization with project teams operating across several regions and time zones, this long-term capacity planning and insight is critical.
