SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/19/14 -- RiverMeadow Software™ Inc., developer of the world's only automated cloud onboarding and workload mobility platform developed specifically for carrier and service provider clouds, today announced the appointment of Shahin Pirooz to the newly created role of senior vice president of operations and support. In this role, Pirooz will be responsible for all aspects of RiverMeadow's global cloud migration operations and customer service. In addition, he will oversee and expand integration of the RiverMeadow Cloud Migration SaaS platform into OEM and service provider cloud offerings around the world -- all while delivering world-class support services to ensure their success. Pirooz will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Shirman.

Pirooz most recently served as vice president of product development at EarthLink Inc., a leading IT services and communications provider to more than 150,000 businesses and one million consumers nationwide. Prior to joining EarthLink, he was executive vice president, chief technology officer and chief security officer at CenterBeam, where for 12 years he built out managed and cloud services focused on distributed computing and delivered Fortune 100, enterprise-class IT services to the mid-market -- working in the cloud before it existed. In addition, Pirooz was director of hosting operations at Appshop Inc., an ASP that provides enterprise solutions using Oracle's E-Business suite of applications. He also managed infrastructure and service delivery at Electronic Data Systems for Fortune 100 companies. Pirooz attended City College of San Francisco, the University of Oregon and San Francisco State University.
