AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 04/08/14 -- Bloomfire, the leading enterprise collaboration software platform for information and knowledge sharing, today announced the appointment of Bob Zukis, author of SOCIAL INC. and enterprise technology, sales and services veteran, as CEO.
Zukis brings decades of experience leading, growing and managing start-up and multi-country business services and software businesses across four continents and 20 countries. He was previously a PwC advisory partner where he worked with a global Fortune 1000 client base to help them expand into new markets and drive results with new technologies. He was responsible for business units with P&Ls up to $125 million and held president/GM level leadership and management positions including CEO and president for PwC Unifi Network KK and managing partner for Asia Pacific Global HR Solutions. He currently serves as a senior fellow with The Conference Board and is on the advisory board for UC Irvine's Center for Digital Transformation. He is the author of SOCIAL INC.: Why Business is the Next Social Opportunity Worth Trillions.
"The first generation of enterprise social tools were one dimensional -- they focused on communication but in most cases, that didn't lead to business results," said Chris Pacitti, general partner at Austin Ventures and member of the Bloomfire board of directors. "Bob shares our vision for purposeful collaboration using a platform that not only improves how people consume and share knowledge, it leads to increased employee engagement and productivity," Pacitti said.
"Human capital is the biggest underleveraged engine for growth in most companies," said Bob Zukis, CEO of Bloomfire. "Bloomfire's technology is unique in that it ignites a company's ability to drive results by changing the way that teams work together and get things done," Zukis added.
Founded in 2010, Bloomfire grew its revenue by 261 percent year over year in 2013. Almost 40 percent of Bloomfire customers expand their communities less than six months after initial launch. Bloomfire provides a SaaS based collaboration and content creation solution for sales and marketing enablement, customer support and community, and training. Customers are quickly seeing real business results from embedding collaboration into the flow of work with Bloomfire -- both within their organization and beyond the firewall to their extended enterprise.
"I am excited about the opportunity to be part of what I see as the biggest business management revolution of our lifetime," said Bob Zukis, CEO of Bloomfire. "At Bloomfire, we want to make companies better by improving how people work together and how they become smarter about their business. Our customers are driving results in ways that they couldn't before because Bloomfire is helping their teams work smarter."
