ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/06/14 -- Liaison Technologies, a global provider of secure, cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, today introduced Contivo 5.6, including a new Maplet feature that adds unprecedented flexibility to the process of integrating hundreds of systems. Maplets, or sections of mappings, can be created and used across different integrations, providing a tailored, template-based approach for customers who are working with similar data as past integrations. Continuing the streak of innovations recently made available by Liaison with its Map Intuition and Interface Intuition, Maplets save time while improving efficiency, accuracy and productivity by creating a searchable repository or catalogue of previous mappings for use in future integrations.
Traditionally, data mapping has been plagued with high costs and tedious processes mired with human error and frustrations. Maplets provide the ability to automatically replicate mappings from one map to another or from structures within a map. These mapping snapshots support users in various situations, including when multiple maps require the same mappings in various sections, for complex mapping logic or rules that will need to be duplicated in other maps, or in documents that require standardized mappings. Maplets further enable users to track mappings that have been applied to multiple maps, enforce consistency when mapping standard interfaces and to leverage mappings that are commonly implemented. For other use cases, Liaison Map Intuition guides users through the process of finding optimal mapping scenarios, and Liaison Interface Intuition rapidly generates data mapping interfaces based upon the structure and content of sample data.
"Translation map development plays a critical role in integration projects, with the potential to slow progress and substantially increase overall expense," said Rob Consoli, SVP of North American Sales and Marketing at Liaison. "With Maplets, we're giving users the flexibility to select and save a field or group in an existing map and retrieve and apply it to other maps that use the same or similar source and target interfaces. Paired with the Contivo Intuition Suite, Maplets simplify the mapping process by providing real and relevant mapping selections. Since the user chooses what to save, customers can improve productivity and minimize the risks associated with creating new mappings from scratch each time."
