AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 06/11/14 -- Data Foundry, a leading provider of global colocation, disaster recovery and managed services, announced today that Selerix Systems, a premier provider of online benefits software, has selected Data Foundry's Texas 1 as one of its primary colocation data center facilities.
Selerix industry-leading software, BenSelect, facilitates communication, enrollment, and administration for both core and voluntary insurance products. BenSelect is an easy-to-use, yet powerful solution to provide benefits enrollment, communications, reporting, administration, and simplified data exchange.
Selerix believes BenSelect should fit its customers' businesses and be available 100 percent of the time. To accomplish this, the web-based software resides on Selerix-owned servers, with Data Foundry's Texas 1 serving as one of its critical colocation sites.
As part of its business continuity planning, Selerix elected to move one of its Dallas colocation sites to Austin. The transition allows the company to better protect its applications in the event of a disaster or business disruption. After evaluating several Austin data centers, they ultimately chose Data Foundry for its reputation in the market and commitment to the highest compliance standards.
"We did extensive due diligence of data center facilities in the Austin area and Data Foundry came out on top when reviewing each of our requirements," said Dwayne Masters, Director of Infrastructure Services at Selerix. "Texas 1's location, redundant power and regulatory compliance were key differentiators."
Texas 1 is Data Foundry's flagship, carrier-neutral, 250,000 SF data center located at the company's 40-acre Data Ranch development.
"We are pleased that Selerix migrated down I-35 for colocation at Texas 1," said Shane Menking, president at Data Foundry. "Customers choose Data Foundry to leverage Austin's minimal environmental risks and our onsite expertise to help them meet their uptime requirements."
