IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/14 -- Solarflare, the leader in application-intelligent 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) networking software and hardware, announces that Bruce Tolley, Vice President, Solutions and Outbound Marketing, will be speaking at this year's Linux Foundation Enterprise End User Summit in New York.
The Enterprise End User Summit is an exclusive event that brings together high performance end users with the highest level Linux community developers. The summit provides end users with the opportunity to learn about upcoming developments in Linux to maximize their investment and provide them with a direct connection to the most senior members of the kernel community.
Tolley will be discussing with the audience the best way to connect network servers to keep up with speeds and maximize network performance. This presentation will look at the network interface and the server bus from a standards perspective, and present an overview of what is possible over the next 2 to 3 years to get the maximum throughput from the latest servers. He will conclude the presentation with look forward and provide the best strategy for approaching the release of PCI 4.0 specification as well as 4.0 enabled servers, and how this speed increase might impact network infrastructure planning.

Bruce Tolley, Vice President, Solutions and Outbound Marketing
Bruce Tolley is responsible for solutions and outbound marketing including technical, event, and partner marketing activities. Previously, he served as Solarflare's Vice President of Marketing, and earlier Director of Product Management. Prior to joining Solarflare, Tolley was a Senior Product Line Manager at Cisco Systems where he managed the Ethernet transceiver business, and launched Layer 2/3/4, Metro Ethernet, 10 Gigabit switches. Prior to Cisco, he served in various marketing management roles at 3Com Corporation. Formerly Study Group Chair of the IEEE 802.3aq 10GBASE-LRM standards project, Tolley has been frequent contributor to the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet standards projects. He holds a BA from UC Santa Cruz, MA from Stanford University, MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, and a PhD from Stanford University.
