PARSIPPANY, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/14 -- Revelwood, an IBM Premier Business Partner and leader in designing and implementing IBM Business Analytics applications, has expanded its Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) practice and promoted Ernie Goff to practice lead and Jamie Taylor to account executive. Revelwood's ICM practice uses IBM Cognos ICM as the enabling technology.

"According to a survey by WorldatWork, 90% of publicly traded companies, 86% of privately held companies and 76% of nonprofits and or government organizations have annual incentive plans," said Ken Wolf, president & CEO, Revelwood. "Clearly, organizations of all types and sizes rely on incentive plans to drive specific behaviors.

"Unfortunately, many of these companies either struggle to manage the plans, or needlessly invest a significant amount of resources into calculating, tracking, managing and communicating the results of these plans. In fact, just the management of these can be so all-consuming, that fewer and fewer organizations have the ability to accurately assess the success -- or failure -- of these plans. We've expanded our ICM practice to help our existing and new clients to more easily manage their incentive compensation plans and to get accurate visibility into the results coming out of those plans."

Goff has been with Revelwood for four and a half years, working first on IBM Cognos TM1 implementations with clients and then on IBM Cognos ICM implementations. He has deep experience in designing analytic and incentive compensation applications. In his new role he'll ensure Revelwood team members are highly skilled at working on ICM solutions, match Revelwood team members with clients for the best use of leveraging skills and industry knowledge, and help to promote the varied uses of ICM. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

"It's a common misconception that ICM equals sales performance management," said Goff. "It's really a management and technology tool to more easily manage any type of incentive compensation. That can mean using financial incentives to drive specific behavior from all types of employees, at all levels."

As part of Revelwood's expansion, the company has also promoted Jamie Taylor to account executive for ICM exclusively. Taylor has worked with Revelwood for nearly two years, recently focused on the public sector. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University-College at Florham.

"Jamie has a depth of knowledge about why companies need better solutions to manage their incentive compensation," said Goff. "She's particularly interested in how ICM can change the dynamics in the retail industry and how it helps insurance companies to better manage their producers and channels."
