The report showed that while many of these tools have been available for decades, as a whole they are still in the early stages of deployment. Less than 30 percent of the respondents show Advanced and Predictive Analytics tools deployed within their organizations, with another 30 percent planning to deploy it in the next 18 months.

In terms of usability and functionality, respondents indicated that scalability of analytic tools is most important, particularly in the technology, consulting, and financial services segments, with a strong emphasis on in-memory and in-database analytics.
