SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/27/14 -- AppDynamics, the application intelligence leader for software-defined businesses, today announced that Interactive Investor has selected AppDynamics Application Performance Management (APM) as part of its commitment to improving the user journey.
Interactive Investor is one of the UK's leading investment and trading websites, providing unbiased financial information together with the tools and trading environment its users need to make confident and informed investment decisions.
The company attracts 1.6 million unique users annually across its investor communities. Customers use the platform to access their valuations and holdings, and they demand quick access to the information they need to trade and manage their assets.
Interactive Investor required a robust APM solution with rich analytics capabilities that would allow it to scale quickly and optimize the user experience, while providing end-to-end service- and system-level monitoring. The company selected AppDynamics for its analytics capabilities and significantly superior breadth and depth of visibility. Once rolled out, the company has plans to use the technology to improve:
"Customers today prefer the convenience of accessing financial services digitally, whether via the web or on mobile devices. Users are typically time-poor and looking to gather all the information they need to make informed decisions quickly, so ensuring seamless performance and spotting potential problems before they occur is crucial," said Alan Grose, IT Director at Interactive Investor.
"Interactive Investor has decided to replace its existing APM solution to achieve greater visibility across its estate. During an initial proof of concept, AppDynamics enabled us to spot any inefficiencies and to hone in on root causes. We were attracted to the platform's analytics capabilities and the ability they gave us to input on roadmap discussions," Grose added.
"Software is revolutionising the financial services industry, meaning companies need to be proactively predicting issues with their applications. We look forward to seeing Interactive Investor harness application intelligence to continue improving the service it delivers to users," commented Jyoti Bansal, founder & CEO of AppDynamics.
