Kill Switch is a feature that users can enable to automatically "kill" or block their Internet connection whenever VyprVPN disconnects, or when users simply forget to enable their VPN. This ensures that users are only able to access the Internet when connected to VyprVPN.

The Kill Switch feature is easily configurable and is available in the Mac OS and Windows desktop apps. Users can enable Kill Switch at the application or system level based on their security preferences. At the application level, Kill Switch only functions when the user is logged into VyprVPN, and therefore is disabled when they quit VyprVPN. At the System level, it will block Internet traffic even after a user exits VyprVPN. A user will not be able to access the Internet until they connect back to VyprVPN. There is also an option to allow or block LAN traffic.
