SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/17/14 -- AtHoc, Inc., the leader in network-centric interactive crisis communication systems, today announced the appointment of Jim Hoppe to the position of vice president of commercial sales. Previously, Hoppe headed up Strategic Accounts and Initiatives for HP Software's Americas Sales team, with a primary focus on delivering value to HP's most strategic U.S. customers across the HP Software portfolio.

The addition of Hoppe to the AtHoc team further accelerates the company's rapid growth in bringing innovative, next generation safety and security solutions to the commercial, industrial, and healthcare markets. His experience in creating go-to-market strategies around mobility, cloud, and security will further accelerate our growth as AtHoc deploys its solutions through multiple secure cloud and hybrid deployment options within its growing non-government client base.
Hoppe brings nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and exceptional leadership experience to AtHoc. In addition to driving strategic accounts and initiatives at HP, he also served as the Chief of Staff for the Americas Software sales team, and previously as Vice President of inside sales for HP Software in the Americas. Prior to joining HP, Hoppe served in sales leadership roles at EMC software and Legato Systems. He started his post-college career as a United States Naval Officer, specializing in communications and navigation. Hoppe graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
