CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwired) -- 09/24/14 -- SingleHop, the leading provider of cloud-enabled managed hosting and on-demand infrastructure, today announced it has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote best practices for security assurance within cloud computing environments.
SingleHop has always made security a priority, embedding many security features into its technology platform. Security permeates all areas, starting from the physical protection of its data center facilities, all the way down through the server, network, application and account layers. SingleHop data center facilities are equipped with biometric access controls, closed circuit television systems, and security guards at all times.
In addition to physical security, SingleHop manages and monitors each server closely, employing advanced, enterprise-class anti-virus protection, powerful reactive monitoring, and on-the-fly, reboot-less operating system patching. Other mechanisms like private networking and firewall protection protect customer data, allowing only authorized access. SingleHop also employs advanced network-level intrusion detection systems (IDS) to monitor for any possible threats into the network or its customers.
"SingleHop is the perfect candidate to join the Cloud Security Alliance because of their robust security offering and strong partnerships with enterprise-class security companies." Jim Reavis, Co-founder and CEO, CSA. "They have great insight on the security in the cloud infrastructure space and will help us advance industry practices for the greater cloud ecosystem."
SingleHop partners closely with numerous leaders in the security space, many of which are fellow CSA members, including Radware, a global application security solution, Alert Logic, a Security-as-a-Service cloud solution, and New Relic, a software analytics platform, among others.
"We are excited to join such a well-respected group of partners and work together to educate security efforts for the cloud. Data is a business' most important asset and needs protection the moment infrastructure is deployed. Every business deserves enterprise-grade security tailored directly to their needs and we're proud to provide it," said Zak Boca, CEO and Co-founder of SingleHop. "We bring together a unique combination of enterprise-class technologies from industry-leading vendors, and our own proprietary automation engine, to deliver a secure cloud infrastructure experience as secure as possible."
