SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/24/14 -- Selligy, an innovator in mobile customer relationship management (CRM), is today rolling out an industry-first set of tools that allow sales professionals to manage their deals and update their sales forecasts more quickly and accurately than ever before, right from their smartphones.
Selligy's activity-based mobile application uses the context of the mobile phone -- including location, calendar, email and mobile data -- to intelligently bypass time-consuming and manual processes found in most CRM systems. By making CRM much easier and faster for salespeople to use, sales teams using Selligy's new platform have seen a 150 percent increase in Salesforce forecast updates per week, significantly increasing their sales visibility and forecast accuracy.
This update also includes the launch of Selligy Opportunity Manager, a first-of-its-kind tool that allows salespeople to quickly do their own 'what-if' analysis when setting and updating their sales goals. With Selligy Opportunity Manager, salespeople can adjust all of their sales forecast numbers, preview the totals, make adjustments, see the new totals and then -- when ready -- record the changes all at once with a single save. Selligy estimates that with this feature, salespeople will perform forecasting tasks roughly 90 percent faster; performing the same task in traditional CRM systems can require navigating 30 to 40 pages.
"Selligy is ushering in a new level of sales productivity," said Edward McGinnis, vice president of worldwide sales at CliQr, a leading provider of hybrid cloud-application migration and management solutions and Selligy customer. "What used to require dozens of pages in CRM can be done with a few finger taps on the smartphone in Selligy."
In addition to these new features, Selligy will now be available on the Android operating system.
"CRM was born in the 1990s, when the introduction of the laptop gave salespeople computing power on the road for the first time. In the past 20 years, CRM has not really changed," said Nilay Patel, Selligy co-founder and chief executive. "Now, mobile is paving the way for a new breed of activity-based, mobile CRM applications that are upending traditional CRM. Just like the first wave of selling applications, these new applications are giving enterprises dramatically more visibility into their sales pipeline."
