VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/29/14 -- Apivio Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE: APV) ("Apivio" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed David Pais as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective October 27, 2014.

The current Chief Financial Officer, Michael Malana, will remain with the Company until November 30, 2014. Mr. Malana was hired on a part-time basis to assist the Company with its transition into a public issuer. He has undertaken this task diligently and the Company would like to thank him for his service.

David Pais is currently the Vice-President of Finance at Kadant Canada Corp., the leading supplier of stranders to the Engineered Board industry. Mr. Pais' experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at a VoIP software Company and a vendor to the Telecommunications Industry and a decade of work in the Financial Services sector. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Pais has been involved with financial and operational strategy and the Company is pleased that he has agreed to take on this new role. As the Company transitions into a global business, a full time Chief Financial Officer with Mr. Pais' experience will assist in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and financial reporting.
