PARIS, FRANCE -- (Marketwired) -- 11/03/14 -- Today at the OpenStack Summit, SwiftStack CEO Joe Arnold released the final version of his industry-defining book, "Object Storage with Swift." Written for deployers, operators and developers interested in using Swift, the O'Reilly published book covers the fundamentals, implementation and ongoing management of Swift.
This is Arnold's second book focusing on object storage and Swift. His previous book, "Software Defined Storage with OpenStack Swift," published in 2013, focused on how to use OpenStack Swift as a platform for a software-defined storage (SDS) system. "Object Storage with Swift" delves deeper into the components of object storage and covers the benefits and how-to's of deploying, developing for and managing Swift.
"Today's applications require an object storage infrastructure built for scale with global distribution. OpenStack Swift object storage is the de facto standard," said Joe Arnold, CEO of SwiftStack. "I'm passionate about the benefits Swift object storage provides IT and what it means for enterprises. As Swift innovation and rapid adoption continue, I will continue to provide guidance to these visionary architects and developers."
Each day this week, SwiftStack will give away free advance copies of the book to the first 100 attendees at their OpenStack Summit booth (E40). Arnold will sign copies of the book on Tuesday, November 4 at 1:00pm and Wednesday, November 5 at 12:30pm Central European Time.
The eBook is currently available for $29.99 from O'Reilly and on the SwiftStack website.
