REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/19/14 -- Sumo Logic, the next-generation machine data intelligence company, announced that Fuze, a leading enterprise video communication and collaboration service that allows people to work from anywhere, selected Sumo Logic to monitor and provide insight into their technical infrastructure. With Sumo Logic's analytics, Fuze gains greater visibility across its infrastructure much more quickly, enabling IT to optimize availability and performance.
"During a three week period, the Sumo Logic LogReduce technology helped us to improve the 'signal to noise' ratio by five times -- saving an incredible amount of time for our staff," said Andrey Kolesnikov, vice president of technical operations and IT at Fuze. "Before Sumo Logic, the team spent precious time maintaining the system instead of extracting intelligence from it. Sumo Logic enables us to be strategic in the management of our infrastructure and product portfolio."
Previously, Fuze utilized a home-grown solution to manage the company's log infrastructure. One of the operations team members allocated between 30 percent and 40 percent of his time just maintaining the solution, leading the company to seek a new, more agile system. Sumo Logic was selected for multiple use cases: to monitor infrastructure availability and performance, support critical security and regulatory requirements, and optimize the DevOps process used to build and operate the customer-facing Fuze application.
Fuze operates within a hybrid infrastructure with co-location centers as well as Amazon Web Services. The company uses Sumo Logic to monitor servers, network devices, various operating systems, security devices, custom applications and end-user computing infrastructure. Sumo Logic enables Fuze to proactively uncover insights from their machine data without pre-determined rules. Additionally, the DevOps team can focus their time on optimizing the build-deploy-maintain process rather than wasting time maintaining a log management system.
"For businesses like Fuze that require consistent network performance to deliver their core service, obtaining insights in real-time that threaten availability is critical," said Vance Loiselle, president and CEO of Sumo Logic. "Deploying Sumo Logic allows Fuze developers to focus on building their product with the assurance that Sumo Logic enables them to monitor the entire process."
