SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/31/13 -- AhnLab, a leading provider of information security products and services for enterprise and government organizations, today announced that the AhnLab Malware Defense System (MDS) appliance has scored in the 90 percentile and above, in all major facets, of the July "Breach Detection System Product Analysis" report conducted by NSS Labs.
Over the last few months, NSS Labs performed an independent test of the AhnLab MDS breach detection system (BDS). AhnLab MDS was subjected to rigorousness testing at the NSS facility in Austin, TX, based on an established BDS methodology. Testing criteria including AhnLab MDS's ability to successfully mitigate and detect HTTP malware, email malware, exploits, evasions, and overall breach detection.
"NSS Labs' third party testing is a validation of our technology, its ease of use, and effectiveness at detecting and preventing APTs, advanced malware, and tomorrow's evolving threats," said Philip Kim, president and CEO, AhnLab. "While other vendors require multiple boxes, and licensing of third party software, AhnLab MDS's advanced security protects endpoints, servers, networks and cloud resources, all within a single architecture and integrated management environment."
NSS Labs scoring and testing of BDS methodology confirmed that AhnLab MDS received an overall breach detection rating of 94.7 percent. The AhnLab MDS delivers rapid malware recognition and automated threat remediation with a comprehensive 360 degrees protection profile. AhnLab MDS is the only enterprise strength security system that combines integrated network perimeter and host based analytics to stop APTs and zero-day threats anywhere across the organization.
AhnLab MDS is available immediately for organizations ranging in size from SMBs to the enterprise, that are looking for simplified, comprehensive security against APTs, zero day attacks, and advanced threats. AhnLab is demonstrating AhnLab MDS this week at Black Hat 2013 Las Vegas, in the AhnLab booth, TT2.
