LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/06/12 -- SOA Software, a leading provider of SOA governance, cloud and enterprise API management products, will share innovative strategies for driving business growth through the use of APIs at Cloud Expo in New York, June 12-13, the company announced today.

Enterprises are increasingly making business applications available as APIs in order to drive business growth and expose new revenue and partnership opportunities. As a result APIs are reshaping the business landscape as dramatically as the rush to create an Internet presence with a web site did in the late 1990s. APIs are becoming the primary way that businesses interact with their customers, reach new markets, and provide the global app development community with the tools to deliver business capabilities to customers.

Corey Scobie, Vice President of Technology at SOA Software and a recognized industry expert in enterprise API management, will be presenting at Cloud Expo and at the Cloud Computing Boot Camp with a featured session titled "Using APIs to Extend Your Business Reach" as well as two other sessions about API management. Cloud Expo, presented by SYS-CON each year in California, New York, Prague, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, is the world's leading Cloud event. Mr. Scobie brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to his role as speaker and technology influencer. He has a 15 year history in the IT industry with experience ranging from enterprise networking and data center operations to software development, product strategy, and sales. Prior to joining SOA Software, he was at IBM, where he was Chief Strategist for the Appliance and Application Optimization businesses. Previously, Mr. Scobie held the role of Technical Executive for the IBM WebSphere DataPower Appliances business, where he was one of the original members of the DataPower team that joined IBM through acquisition in 2005.
