Assuming that devices and applications are always at risk due to the constant intermingling of personal and corporate use of BYOD devices, Bluebox fortifies any work-related application with self-defense capabilities to intelligently scan and respond to potential risks in real time. Bluebox also added SAML 2.0 support and packaged integration with enterprise-grade identity management service Okta and single sign-on service OneLogin. In addition, Bluebox now supports dynamic app policies to reduce the effort of securely enabling mobile for both IT and the end user.

Mobile is firmly established in the enterprise. Research shows that 90 percent of employees use their smartphones and 35 percent use their tablets at work. However, mobile security is not meeting the changing demands BYOD is placing on the enterprise. While data security ranks as the most important mobile security requirement, only 13 percent of IT professionals felt that their current mobile security solution is effectively securing their mobile data.

• Self-defending applications. In today's fast-paced mobile world, mobile devices and applications are constantly under attack. Fortifying mobile applications with self-defense allows any application to intelligently detect threats to the OS environment, like jailbreaking or rooting of devices, as well as application tampering, and to automatically respond with appropriate remediation such as preventing access to corporate data within the application under attack, or the entire device. With continuous threat scanning from application launch through use, self-defending applications remove the need for IT to white- and black-list applications or rely on application reputation services.

• Dynamic policy updates. Whether responding to outside mobile threats or aligning risk with actual mobile use, dynamic policy updates ensure that application-specific security policies are deployed in real time without requiring IT to push new versions of the applications or requiring users to restart the applications or device. Building upon Bluebox's visibility capabilities, which provide actionable insights into the "who, what, where, when, why and how" of mobile data use and movement throughout the mobile workflow, dynamic policy updates allow security and IT professionals to responsively tune mobile security policies. Now IT can dynamically change policies at an application-level, such as the restrictions of data sharing between personal and corporate applications, or the usage of application-level VPN.

• Support for SAML 2.0; integration with OneLogin and Okta. Companies can now effortlessly enroll and de-provision employees using any SAML 2.0 compliant identity management vendor -- reducing the burden on both IT and the end user. Packaged integration with OneLogIn and Okta allows Bluebox customers to take advantage of the capabilities offered by these single sign-on leaders to enforce strong authentication for users enrolling to Bluebox or for administrators authenticating to the Bluebox administrative portal. It also enables Bluebox to dynamically de-provision applications and data from mobile devices.
