SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/15 -- AtHoc, Inc., the leader in networked crisis communication, today announced that the U.S. Department of the Treasury has deployed AtHoc as its highly secure alerting and personnel accountability system.
The Department of the Treasury leadership sought a state-of-the art capability to immediately enable swift, secure and reliable critical communications with full accountability real time report generation. The AtHoc solution implemented for the Treasury -- called Treasury Emergency Alert Multimodal System (TEAMS) -- is a web-based system capable of transmitting multi-modal alerts to employees worldwide for daily business operations, physical security and cyber threats.

Key objectives by Treasury leadership centered on ensuring continuity of business operations and protecting dedicated staff across all functions, organizations and geographies. The AtHoc networked crisis communication solution achieves these two purposes by empowering Treasury organizations to communicate and collaborate within and across each other in times of crisis. With real-time alerts and exchange of information, Treasury leadership can take action and respond to any incident that may affect personnel or Treasury business operations.
The Department of the Treasury designed the system to be managed at headquarters, while also enabling various bureaus to participate via secure web-enabled virtual partitions. This strategy permits autonomous operation by any participating bureau and provides a common approach for crisis communications among Treasury staff. It also saves cost by eliminating disparate systems. Today, the AtHoc system supports headquarters and three bureaus, and as an enterprise solution, is seamlessly expandable to support all of Treasury.
AtHoc has been granted full Authority to Operate (ATO) after rigorous testing to achieve compliance with Department of the Treasury stringent security mandates and standards. "Treasury's ATO for AtHoc illustrates the continuous investment we make to bring the most secure critical communications capability to our enterprise customers," said Dubhe Beinhorn, Vice President of AtHoc's Homeland Security and Government Group. "We are extremely honored that the Department of Treasury has selected AtHoc, and we are proud to support the Treasury's leadership in its mission to ensure business continuity and the protection of all employees and contractors worldwide."
