Wookey is a veteran of the software industry, with 30 years of experience in product development, business strategy and organizational management.

Before working at salesforce.com, Wookey was EVP of Development at SAP, where he was responsible for the development of all On Demand applications. Prior to SAP, Wookey spent 13 years in the applications division at Oracle, starting as the VP of Financial Applications and later taking on overall leadership for its applications business. In addition to leading development, he was responsible for numerous strategic acquisitions including PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards and Siebel Systems.
