WHIPPANY, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 06/07/12 -- The 10th International Cloud Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City will put a fine focus on two of the hottest topics in Enterprise IT today -- Cloud Computing and Big Data. WHIPTAIL, the world leader in high performance 100 percent silicon storage arrays, will showcase their class-leading solutions on the Big Data Power Panel and the Data at the Speed of Life general session.
WHIPTAIL, the first company to introduce a family of high performance products that are scalable and offer investment protection, will be represented by Max Riggsbee, vice president of product management and CMO, and Mike Schmitt, director of product management and marketing.
Riggsbee, speaking at the Big Data Power Panel on Thursday, June 14, from 12:45-1:15 p.m., will make the case that data isn't just about volume, but more importantly, velocity. Decision support, analytics, data management and infrastructure processes cannot be optimized without speed.
"No one can afford to wait for data these days," says Riggsbee. "If you're not planning your strategy for dealing with Big Data yet, you may get run over. I'll demonstrate how optimizing big data for speed can offer bottom line impact for business and that should be the No. 1 motivation for customers to focus on solutions such as high performance flash storage arrays."
The Big Data Power Panel, chaired by Cloud Expo Conference Chair Jeremy Geelan, will highlight the existence of Big Data, how it impacts storage and networking architecture, the differences between Big Data and Fast Data, where it's going in the future and the impacts it will serve up.
Schmitt, speaking at the Data at the Speed of Life general session Thursday, June 14, from 1:35-2:05 p.m., will show that the data explosion is nothing new, but the speed at which we move data has become a top priority for businesses to remain ahead of competitors and in front of customer needs.
"Moving data at ever increasing velocities is the bloodline of the solid-state storage industry," says Schmitt. "Now more than ever, speed is crucial to businesses that need instantaneous decision making despite the Big Data explosion."
WHIPTAIL's presence at the Cloud Expo highlights a recent shift for WHIPTAIL to the ACCELA and INVICTA solutions. ACCELA and INVICTA work side-by-side to offer a custom high-performance storage solution for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
"Businesses need real-time data to make decisions quickly, and that's what we offer," says Dan Crain, CEO, WHIPTAIL. "Not only that, ACCELA and INVICTA increase productivity and reduce operation costs with minimal transition time."
Visit the WHIPTAIL team at booth 523 for a demonstration of how ACCELA and INVICTA tackle issues that accompany Big Data while saving user's time and money through unparalleled low-latency and scalable READ and WRITE performance.
About WHIPTAIL
WHIPTAIL commercialized the first NAND Flash Silicon Storage Array (SSA), which dramatically improves application performance while consuming less energy than legacy storage arrays. Installed worldwide, WHIPTAIL's SSAs enable databases, virtualized and online environments to process more data in significantly less time. WHIPTAIL's customers experience substantial operational improvements because data processing time shrinks from days to hours or hours to minutes.
