BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/19/14 -- WeFi, an innovator of mobile broadband technology solutions that is reshaping the mobile user experience, today announced it has launched a new consumer service platform and mobile app named fstrnet. This new solution enables consumers to discover the mobile carrier service most perfectly tailored to their usage, behavior and need for faster speeds, once again revolutionizing the mobile Internet by bringing a level of transparency that was not previously possible.
WeFi's fstrnet app continuously monitors and collects information across carrier networks and Wi-Fi hot spots based on a user's behavior. Information is displayed on a map view and accompanied by a detailed report that shows the user the speed of their connection, whether connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot or on a cellular service at any given moment. Fstrnet finds other carriers that serve the same location and compares the data to those local carriers' performance. Users then have the choice to switch to the best and fastest service offering based on their personal usage, behavior preferences and pricing options.
"For the first time since the advent of cellular communications, users have full and complete transparency over their network connections whether across a cellular network or on Wi-Fi, to see where there are inefficiencies and issues in the areas they engage most," said Zur Feldman, Chairman and CEO of WeFi. "With the rapid growth in mobile data consumption for such activities as video streaming, application downloading and content sharing across social media channels, it's imperative for users to have and for carriers to provide, the best mobile experience possible. By making cellular network performance visible, we're unlocking the bottleneck for users to gain access to an unlimited mobile experience."
WeFi is empowering mobile users with network transparency and choice with fstrnet. It not only offers users a sharper view of their mobile engagement, but also affords carriers the opportunity to improve network inefficiencies to retain their mobile customer base. Fstrnet is available now by invitation only and will be available as a free downloadable app on Android devices 4.2 and higher this spring.
WeFi is one of the fastest growing mobile connectivity companies in the industry and the only company focused on improving the mobile consumer experience by unlocking connectivity bottlenecks. The company is clearing a path for unlimited device and screen size choice, when it comes to viewing desired content such as movies and videos, and enabling unlimited access irrespective of location -- all on existing network infrastructures.
Offering the industry's only comprehensive mobile broadband connectivity solution, ranging from cloud-based server architecture and patented and patent pending WeANDSF customized solutions, to the most advanced client and analytic tools, WeFi's true market differentiator is the ability to not only provide detailed visibility into consumer experience and service levels, but to enable customers to make real time decisions based on the analytics to improve subscriber experience.
WeFi is demonstrating its fstrnet app for the first time at Mobile World Congress, February 24-27, in Barcelona. Stop by WeFi in the IMA Section, Hall 2, Booth 3 for your invitation to trial fstrnet.
