By certifying the Typesafe Reactive Platform for building modern applications on Microsoft Azure, Typesafe will bring the power and flexibility of Azure to a broader audience of developers.

As a member of the Microsoft ISV Partnership Program, Typesafe will extend the Reactive Maps Activator template to Azure -- allowing developers to experiment with the Typesafe Reactive Platform (Play Framework, Akka, and Scala) natively within Azure. For Azure developers seeking to build resilient and message-driven applications that scale effortlessly on multicore and cloud environments, Reactive Maps provides an interactive tutorial for getting started. Typesafe will announce additional tools and support options for Azure customers building Reactive applications later this year.
