FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/28/14 -- VMworld 2014 has announced that AMAX is the Gold winner of the prestigious Best of VMworld 2014 Award in the category of Private Cloud Computing Technologies, beating out finalists Red Hat and Red Hat CloudForms 3.1.

AMAX, a leading provider of cloud/IaaS, Big Data, and HPC platforms, developed the CloudMax™ Converged Cloud Infrastructure platform to be a turnkey private cloud solution featuring Facebook-inspired Open Compute (OCP) hardware seamlessly integrated with the CloudMax™ OpenStack software suite. CloudMax™ had previously won Intel's Server Innovation Award for Best Data Center Product; the Best of VMworld 2014 win marks the product's second award this year.
