NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 12/10/14 -- Conductor, the leading web presence management provider, today announced that is ranked seventh place on the annual Crain's New York Business Best Places to Work in New York City (NYC) list and is the number one ranking tech company on that list. Since first appearing on the list five years ago, Conductor has appeared year after year, consistently placing high among those named. The annual ranking is based on a statistical analysis of employee surveys (75% of ranking) and company benefits, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics (25% of ranking).
Crain's New York Business, the Human Resource Association of New York, the Society of Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group created this program, designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in New York City, benefiting the city's economy, workforce and businesses.
This year's list is comprised of 100 companies, up from 75 in 2013. Ranked first among 34 technology companies featured in 2014, this is the fifth consecutive year Conductor has made the list.
"At Conductor, we have built a culture based on openness, trust, hard work and honesty. Most importantly, we are all passionate about Conductor's mission of helping businesses tap into the rich opportunity available to them through unpaid media," said Seth Besmertnik, CEO and Founder of Conductor. "We believe building the best product for our customers starts with building the best workplace for great talent. If we can attract and retain the best engineers and customer success managers, we can deliver an unprecedented customer experience that only gets better over time. We do this by treating each Conductor as if they were an important investor and following a servant leadership philosophy. This award is exciting to us and we want to continue improving our culture as we continue to grow."
Conductor was cited as fostering an environment of transparency between and leadership, as employees are encouraged to say what they need and want in public Q&A sessions with sessions and frequent 'town hall' style meetings. The company's 150+ employees ranked Conductor as an ideal employer, and the survey revealed key benefits and signs of an enjoyable workplace, including high average salary, low voluntary turnover and zero layoffs, premium health care benefits and continued opportunity for job growth, as well as a high percentage of employees who have been with the company longer than five years.
Conductor's placement on the Crain's annual list of NYC's best places to work comes on the heels of its recognition by Forbes magazine as one of 15 Technology Companies that are Taking NYC by Storm.
