EL SEGUNDO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/08/14 -- Stamps.com® (NASDAQ: STMP), the leading provider of USPS postage online and shipping software to approximately 500,000 customers, today announced that its software is now updated with the newest USPS Priority Mail® rates that went into effect yesterday.
While the USPS Priority Mail rates increased for some shipping weights and zones at the Post Office, prices decreased for customers who buy postage online. This Stamps.com update ensures that customers are able to seamlessly transition to the newly discounted Priority Mail rates, and can easily calculate and print postage for their Flat Rate Envelopes and packages. The automatic update is free for all Stamps.com customers.
"The lower USPS Priority Mail rates offer a unique opportunity for shippers to lower their fulfillment costs in Q4," said Ken McBride, chairman and CEO of Stamps.com. "With the new discounts, Priority Mail has now become an even more attractive option for Stamps.com customers, particularly for shippers sending heavier weight packages up to 25 lbs."
