LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 11/11/14 -- AWS RE:INVENT -- RackWare, the software provider that integrates data center and cloud resources into a scalable and intelligently managed computing environment, today announced the availability of RackWare Management Module (RMM) for Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The new solution, available Nov. 24, enables enterprises to use AWS as a seamless extension of their internal infrastructure, including legacy, as well as modern applications, for easy disaster recovery (DR), migrations and hybrid scaling. By automatically decoupling and moving operating system, application and data workloads to AWS, RMM for AWS removes the headache associated with the typical manual set up, copying and migration process. Now, enterprises can move workloads from any source infrastructure, including physical, cloud and virtual, to AWS instances with push-button ease.
Additionally, RMM for AWS offers true hybrid scaling by automatically instantiating applications in AWS when demand spikes, and dropping them back into the internal site as demand dies. Enterprises can also rely on RackWare's Cloud DR capabilities to recover from events that bring an application down or prevent users from accessing the application. What's more, users can failover mission-critical workloads into any AWS geographical location and failback when the primary application is up again. The result is an easy-to-manage, low cost DR with minimal disruption.
