FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/14/12 -- AMAX, the leading high performance computing solutions provider in North America, has partnered with NVIDIA® to launch the Next-Generation Tesla GPU Test Drive program, enabling qualified customers to remotely access an AMAX engineered, in-house Tesla SuperG GPU cluster or Personal Supercomputer and experience first-hand the revolutionary computing power enabled by the NVIDIA® CUDA parallel computing architecture.
AMAX is offering the computing community the opportunity to freely test an AMAX GPU cluster featuring the Tesla K10 "Kepler" or T20 "Fermi" series GPU accelerators to see how the systems powered by the next-gen Tesla cards can significantly reduce simulation processing time.
The AMAX integrated Tesla GPU turnkey solutions transform standard clusters and workstations into computational powerhouses capable of running complex parallel code in fields such as drug discovery and DNA sequencing, molecular dynamics, weather modeling, seismic exploration, video processing and imaging. With the single precision powerhouse that is the new Tesla K10, government defense applications like signal processing and video analytics, and oil & gas applications like Kirchoff Time Migration are seeing a 4x increase in performance compared to previous generation GPUs. Simulations that had previously only been possible using supercomputing resources inside the nation's fastest national research labs and Universities can now be run on more compact hardware and available to any industry or enterprise in need of accelerated processing power.
AMAX's Test Drive GPU clusters featuring the Tesla K10 and T20 series GPU accelerators deliver massive amounts of single precision and double precision performance, respectively. The GPUs support advanced features for the technical and enterprise computing space, including high-speed GDDR5 ECC-enabled memory for uncompromised accuracy and scalability. Along with a dedicated high-speed broadband connection, all test systems are configured with the latest Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 processor platforms for the highest levels of performance and efficiency, with full support for PCIe 3.0 for maximum bandwidth, high-speed high-density DDR3 1600Mhz ECC/Reg memory, lightning-fast QDR Infiniband interconnects with GPUDirect technology, and of course the powerful Tesla K10 or T20 series GPU accelerators.
Based on first-come first-serve reservations, qualified clients will have full access to the systems to freely test specific applications and performance, to see how simulation time can be reduced from months to days and from days to hours.
