SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/05/14 -- AccelOps, the leading IT operations analytics platform for the modern data center, achieved a record 2014 fiscal year, with fourth quarter growth of 77 percent year-over-year and growth of 58 percent for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2014.
Global customers, renewals, subscription licenses and professional services across all sectors, including Managed Service Providers (MSPs), healthcare, financial services, biotechnology, energy and retail, contributed to the growth.
It was a year of big successes for AccelOps. This summer, the company launched the fourth generation of its flagship product, AccelOps 4, which enhances capabilities for IT network security, threat management and operations intelligence. Industry innovations in the release include machine-learning statistical anomaly detection, watch list creation and synthetic transaction monitoring.
The company also made key executive hires this year, including CFO Charlie Velasquez from Cisco, Vice President of Worldwide Sales Jay Phillips from Fusion-io, and Chief Product Officer Dan Turchin from ServiceNow.
AccelOps received numerous awards and accolades this year from industry analysts and influencers. Gartner positioned AccelOps on the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Analysts Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) recognized AccelOps in its "Radar for Enterprise Network Availability Monitoring Systems: Q3 2014" as the Most Flexible Deployment, a Strong Value and Highest Ranked in Customer Satisfaction. EMA specifically noted AccelOps' cloud architecture, unified platform and hypervisor support.
"AccelOps has done an excellent job of building a strong, unified platform combining networking, server and security management with a rich set of relevant features," wrote EMA analyst Jim Frey.
SANS Institute, the largest cooperative research and education organization for information security training, certification and research, named AccelOps as a security leader this year in the SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls for 2014. The SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls, now in its fifth version, lists essential security controls that help define and guide strategies and solutions for effective cyber-defense. In fact, AccelOps addresses 17 of the Top 20 Critical Security Controls.
AccelOps was also named to the ITOA50, the top 50 leading vendors in IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) by the ITOA Landscape, recognizing those who have demonstrated leadership in developing ITOA solutions based on impact, innovation and industry recognition.
"It was a tremendous year for AccelOps," said Flint Brenton, president and CEO of AccelOps. "Our team works diligently to delight our customers with innovation and customer service, and we continue to lead in the security, performance and compliance monitoring sectors."
Many of the world's premiere Managed Service Providers, including MegaPath, one of the leading providers of managed voice, data, security and cloud services in North America, and Netelligent Corporation, a leading technology solutions provider, have chosen AccelOps.
"AccelOps is a highly adaptive tool that scales well for security service providers," said Park Foreman, principal security architect at MegaPath. "Their cloud-friendly operating model makes them a cost-effective player in SIEM technology."
