Gartner, a leading independent provider of IT advisory and market intelligence and research services worldwide, recently published the report, entitled "Does File Analysis Have a Role in Your Data Management Strategy?"(1) Authored by Gartner analysts Garth Landers and Alan Dayley, the report includes an overview of available file analysis technologies. The report includes the results of a Gartner survey that asked IT respondents, "Do you have management tools in place to help better understand your unstructured data?" • "Map the organization's unstructured content infrastructure with file analysis tools, and use subsequent reports to plan for future storage investment and use of current resources."
