MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/18/12 -- Tintri, Inc., the leading producer of VM-aware, flash-based storage appliances, today announced the opening of a Tintri office in Japan, further extending the availability of its products and support offerings in the region. The announcement demonstrates Tintri's continued momentum following 30 new customers in Q1 2012 and key software updates to Tintri VMstore, including advanced cloning capabilities and VAAI support.

Heading up the Tintri Japanese office (Tintri Japan, G.K.) are Michiaki Kono and Kenji Shuto, who come from EMC Japan where they were previously responsible for starting up Data Domain Japan. As experienced and proven industry veterans, Kono will be heading up sales efforts while Shuto will serve as the technical/SE director in Japan. Tintri Japan, G.K. will partner with distributors and systems integrators to deliver the VMstore appliance products to market.
