CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/11/14 -- Co3 Systems, the leader in Incident Response Management Systems, today announced the appointment of Gene Fay as vice president of sales. Fay will be responsible for driving worldwide sales for Co3's growing portfolio of incident response management solutions in the U.S. and worldwide.
"Incidents continue to plague even the biggest and most security-prepared businesses and governments, yet time and time again we see too many organizations tangled in a web of complexity and inefficiencies when handling them," said John Bruce, CEO at Co3 Systems. "Our customers have reduced their response times by up to 90 percent, driving incredible growth for our business. Gene has a stellar reputation and wealth of experience in the industry, and a track record of building successful sales teams. We're confident we'll continue to grow rapidly."
Reporting to CEO John Bruce, Fay will be based in the company's headquarters in Cambridge, Mass. Prior to Co3, he served as president of Nine Technology, which was sold to Imation Corporation; vice president (VP) of sales and business development at VKernel, where he grew sales by 300 percent; and VP of worldwide sales and global alliances for the security information and event management business unit of RSA, the security division of EMC. Earlier in his career, he also worked at Avid Sports (as the founder) and Avid Technology.
"Co3 is a driving force behind the industry's evolution beyond prevention and detection, to encompass response," said Fay. "I've seen Co3 make some exciting strides over the past year and I'm excited to help drive the company's next phase of growth -- helping to make Co3 synonymous with Incident Response Management."
Fay earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a High Tech MBA from Northeastern University. He continues to be a part of the Northeastern community, teaching in the MBA program on a variety of subjects from social media and new product development, to sales and corporate strategy. In 2011, Fay was named to Everything Channel's CRN's Channel Chiefs list for his commitment to the managed services market.
Co3 Systems was the first to market a daily use and preparedness tool for security and privacy incidents and is considered today as the industry standard. Co3 enables organizations of all sizes to efficiently prepare for and rapidly manage the incident response process for security incidents or privacy breaches via a platform composed of two modules. The Co3 Privacy Module provides an easy, automated way to ensure consistency and accountability -- across teams, organizations and external stakeholders in any geography and under any jurisdiction -- in managing incidents that concern personally identifiable information (PII). The Co3 Security Module allows automated, single-pane incident management in a secure, isolated environment for general security incidents including malware infections, DDoS attacks, device or Intellectual Property theft and system intrusions.
