ALPHARETTA, GA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/22/14 -- SECUDE, an innovative data security provider specializing in SAP security, announced today the latest release of its flagship security software for SAP data. Halocore for SAP NetWeaver applies the company's information security policy to any file downloaded from NetWeaver-based applications, so the file can travel securely within and outside of the company's IT perimeter. The latest version 1.3 provides users with several deployment options, giving enterprises the flexibility to leverage Halocore based on the model that best suits their business needs.
"At Microsoft, it is our goal to support and nurture partners in developing solutions that broaden the RMS ecosystem," said Dan Plastina, Microsoft's Rights Management Services group manager. "Today's users are discontented with traditional security technologies that are slow, disruptive, and unreliable, leaving some of the most sensitive data vulnerable and exposed. With Halocore, SECUDE addresses the real business needs of protecting data stored and moved from ERP systems such as SAP. A tight integration between Halocore and Microsoft Rights Management server brings control over business critical data back to SAP users. It is a powerful combination."
"SAP users have long recognized the need to protect their company's most valuable asset -- information," said Michael Kummer, President of SECUDE Americas. "Emerging trends such as increased information sharing and collaboration, cloud and BYOD (Bring Your Own Devices) keep eroding the walls of the enterprise perimeter. We are excited to provide SAP clients with the powerful solution that persistently protects SAP data against loss and theft, regardless of its location. With the new release, we can custom tailor Halocore deployment to fit enterprises' unique needs."
Halocore for SAP NetWeaver 1.3 is available in a variety of deployment options to allow enterprises to pick the scenario that best fits their information architecture and IT infrastructure. This flexibility provides unique benefits in terms of scalability and ease of deployment. Three options include:
1. On-premise: A traditional on-premise approach might be most beneficial for companies with existing significant investments in on-premise systems or other business considerations requiring the use of an on-premise solution deployed behind their firewall.
2. Full cloud: A cloud-based option provides flexibility associated with licensing and scalability, without significant capital investment and incremental resources to support it.
3. Hybrid cloud: A hybrid cloud approach enables the best of both worlds, delivering cloud-like flexibility, with the confidence of on-site hardware.
Halocore utilizes the Microsoft Windows AD Rights Management (AD RMS) solution for on-premise environments or Azure Rights Management (Azure RMS) for hybrid or full cloud environments to apply protection to downloaded data. Microsoft Rights Management is the industry leading document security solution that ensures only authorized users can open the protected content, while also controlling what they can do with it, such as print, edit or save.
