Building upon the success of AIIM's first foray into the conference business after an 11-year hiatus, the 2013 conference is expected to grow in attendance by 20 percent. Attendees will include information professionals, IT professionals, senior executives, consultants and members of the information management and business communities looking to connect with industry luminaries on a wide range of information management insights, trends and issues.
Conference topics under consideration include: cloud technologies, social media compliance, Big Data, driving business value, enabling mobility, future of records management and enabling process change. The conference committee is especially interested in case studies and papers on disruptive technology trends.
The interactive event, which will be organized into two tracks -- engagement and governance, will feature professional development sessions, breakouts and a unique opportunity to network and exchange ideas with experts. Decision notifications will be sent to candidates in early September 2012.
Presenters at the AIIM Conference 2013 will be joined by keynote speakers including Seth Godin, best-selling author of "Linchpin," "Meatball Sundae," "Purple Cow" and "Small is the New Big"; John Underkoffler, chief scientist of Oblong Industries and the inventor of the "Minority Report" interface; David Pogue, New York Times technology columnist; Thornton May, futurist and dean of the IT Leadership Academy and author of "The New Know: Innovation Powered by Analytics."
