MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/27/12 -- Tintri, Inc., the leading producer of VM-aware flash-based storage appliances, today announced a number of new additions to its global network of channel partners. New partners include EMEA and US-based organizations such as IVOXY, Sovereign Systems, Datacentrix, S3, and Terrasystem, among others. With the industry's first and only VM-aware storage solution designed exclusively for virtualized environments, Tintri offers channel partners an opportunity to extend their solution offering and build relationships with their customers by delivering a new way to store and virtualize a broad range of applications.
The market opportunity for enterprise storage in virtualized environments is estimated at over $10B/year and continues to grow rapidly. As IT organizations push virtualization deeper into their core infrastructure, key business applications such as decision support, ERP & CRM put increasing stress on conventional shared storage. VDI adoption is another major IT challenge that has been hampered by complex and expensive shared storage infrastructure. Tintri helps enterprise organizations virtualize more of these applications at a significantly lower price point than legacy storage architectures and with much greater business agility.
"Nearly all data centers are going virtual. Storage has long been seen as the single largest inhibitor to virtualization projects, mainly due to the high cost of traditional storage arrays," said Stephanie Torres, Virtualization Practice Manager at Sovereign Systems LLC. "Tintri drastically simplifies storage for virtual deployments with their innovative VM-aware solution -- which has opened new doors for us. Our customers are excited at the opportunity to deploy Tintri, citing economic and data management benefits that simply weren't available before."
"Tintri has a compelling value proposition that allows us to deepen our engagements with existing customers and new prospects alike," said Eric Watson, Managing Principal at IVOXY Consulting. "As a value-added reseller, part of our value proposition is to keep an eye on the ever-evolving storage landscape. Tintri VMstore is a unique product where it is easy to sell value."
"We're seeing a tremendous level of interest from prospective channel partners for our VMstore appliance," said Robert Villarreal, Tintri VP of Sales. "As virtualization becomes mainstream, we offer channel companies an intuitive and highly differentiated product that accelerates virtualization for both existing and new customers. It's clear both our partners and customers like what we help them to achieve, which explains the extraordinary momentum we've experienced since launching our first product."
