LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/08/15 -- First Global Data Limited ("First Global" or the "Corporation")(TSX VENTURE: FGD), is pleased to announce that its Los Angeles based wholly owned subsidiary, First Global Money Inc., has been granted a new Money Transmitter license by the State of Kansas.
Since January 2014, First Global has increased its licensing in the USA by 10 additional States. The Corporation has an objective of establishing licenses in all States and is now able to conduct money services in 23 States.
"Qualifying for and obtaining State licenses is not an easy undertaking, and we are pleased to have received this new license from the State of Kansas. Increasing our licenses and footprint has been a major focus for First Global since it paves the way for generating additional revenues and positions us well for the launch of our online money remittance and mobile payment services", said Andre Itwaru, Chairman, President and CEO of the Corporation. "Our focus for 2015 is to leverage these significant assets to increase revenues".
First Global is now able to provide mobile and online payments, domestic and international money remittances, and other money services in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, South Carolina and Texas. First Global operates its money services in the USA under the FirstGlobalMoney brand.
