The Citrix Ready Program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking, and cloud computing solutions from Citrix. Big Switch's Big Cloud Fabric has gone through a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with Citrix CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack. The joint solution will enable rapid innovation, scalable deployment, massive operational simplification, and cost reduction.

In order to be accepted into the program, Big Cloud Fabric had to pass a series of tests established by Citrix to ensure Big Cloud Fabric works effectively with the Citrix CloudPlatform. Data Center operators can now implement hyperscale-style network designs with bare metal switches, SDN fabric and reliable and scalable cloud orchestration system to build modern cloud pods. The joint solution brings innovations through software and leverage open standards, open hardware and open source technologies for broader interoperability in heterogeneous, multi-vendor environments. Pod deployments consisting of Big Cloud Fabric and Citrix CloudPlatform include:

Big Cloud Fabric is already verified with Citrix CloudPlatform 4.3, and further integration through Big Switch's plugin for Citrix CloudPlatform is planned for Q4 2014.
