MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/27/12 -- Violin Memory, Inc., provider of one of the world's fastest and most scalable flash Memory Arrays, today announced Jagdeep (JD) Singh as vice president of worldwide customer advocacy. With more than 20 years of customer service and support success at companies like Aruba Networks, Nortel Networks and 3Com, Singh will actively drive the growth and development of Violin's global service and support strategy, an essential element in accelerating the adoption of Violin's flash based storage systems for business critical applications.

Singh comes to Violin with an extensive background in designing and implementing service and support infrastructures that enable rapid customer success and revenue growth. Most recently, he was VP of Global Field Advocacy for Aruba Networks, where he drove the success of the global sales engineering organization. Prior to that, Singh was Aruba's VP of Global Customer Advocacy for nine years. In that position, he built and managed all aspects of Aruba's Service and Support infrastructure, an $85 million business that received the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) STAR award, a prestigious honor for technology companies who display exceptional innovation and commitment to improving service and support.

Before joining Aruba, Singh served as the Senior Director of Global Customer Advocacy at Nortel Networks, where he led a worldwide customer service organization of more than 500 professionals for Nortel's Content Delivery Business Unit. He also held positions at 3Com, Auspex Systems and Tandem Computers.
Violin's flash Memory Arrays are changing the data center for companies like AOL, Revlon, Tagged.com, Oracle, Juniper and HP through its patent-pending flash vRAID technology. Strategic investors in the company include SAP Ventures, GE Asset Management, Juniper Networks and Toshiba, among others.
