SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/06/14 -- Cyphort, a pioneer of Advanced Threat Defense (ATD) solutions, today announced the launch of its Technology Partner Program, featuring alliances with Bit9 + Carbon Black (highlighted in a separate release, also issued today) and A10 Networks. These partnerships enable Cyphort to interact with endpoint based threat detection systems and inspect SSL traffic respectively, furthering Cyphort's ability to deliver on its vision of complete, comprehensive and cost-effective Advanced Threat Defense.
Cyphort will leverage its open, API-based architecture to integrate with a wide array of technology partners. Cyphort's technology alliances enable its customers to leverage their existing networking and security investments while bolstering the ability of the Cyphort Advanced Threat Defense platform to protect against current and emerging Advanced Persistent Threats, targeted attacks and zero day vulnerabilities.
"No single technology will meet your Breach Detection needs," wrote Rick Holland, principal analyst, Forrester Research, Inc. in a July, 2014 report titled 'Targeted Attack Hierarchy of Needs, Part 2.' "[Security and risk professionals require] a combination of malware analysis, network analysis and visibility, endpoint visibility and control, and security analytics... vendors that can enable orchestration of their defense should be at the top of your list."
"Because there is no single silver bullet for security, we anticipated the need to work with third-party solutions to provide the best, and most complete solution for our customers, and built our platform accordingly," said Manoj Leelanivas, CEO, Cyphort. "Our open, API-based architecture has already enabled us to integrate seamlessly with firewalls, secure web gateways, IPS devices and other security enforcement devices. With Bit9 + Carbon Black and A10, we are able to provide a differentiated, complete advanced threat solution covering all important aspects of endpoint, network and incident response for our customers. Moving forward, we'll benchmark the efficiencies and improvements our customers gain from our joint efforts in order to demonstrate the many ways Cyphort's Advanced Threat Defense provides real business value."
"Hackers often conceal attacks in encrypted traffic to evade detection. To protect users and network resources from these attacks, Cyphort's Advanced Threat Defense must be able to inspect SSL traffic," said Jason Matlof, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at A10 Networks. "A10 has partnered with Cyphort to offer Cyphort customers full visibility into SSL traffic. A10's SSL Intercept technology, included with the Thunder Application Delivery Controller (ADC), can decrypt SSL communications, enabling Cyphort to detect advanced threats hidden in SSL traffic."
"Cyphort and Bit9 + Carbon Black's mutual commitment to openness is a key element of why our products could be integrated so quickly," said Tom Barsi, Vice President of Business Development at Bit9 + Carbon Black. "We are pleased to join Cyphort's Technology Partner Program as we share a common belief that when threat defense vendors work together, everyone benefits -- especially our customers."
