MARKHAM, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/05/14 -- Albatross Scandinavia AB, an Enghouse Networks company, is pleased to announce the signing of a new frame agreement with TDC Sweden to evolve its next generation services. The agreement involves fully managed delivery and IMS migration of routing services for Sweden and Norway.

TDC identified continued migration from traditional landline telephony to IP-based solutions and mobile-only as a key strategic industry trend. To align their business goals and stimulate revenue growth, TDC needed to move their services from outdated, complex and costly INAP-based TDM/IN environments to IP-based IMS/NGIN without service disruption, loss of present functionality or subscriber experience.

Albatross has provided and managed Intelligent Network services for TDC since 2004. Albatross's iNode system functions as a traditional SCP in the TDM network and an Application Server and/or ENUM Server in the IMS network using the same provisioning interface. This provides ease of management when the networks are converged, saving time and money. The migration is seamless for end users as the same service logic is used regardless of the type of network.
