SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/18/14 -- TrapX, provider of the fastest-growing sensor-based DeceptionGrid in the world, today announced the availability of TrapX Self Service DeceptionGrid, a hands-free, automatic, self-service module for fast deployments of the entire TrapX scale-out solution. Designed for CISOs, CIOs, SOC managers and MSSPs who are managing multiple instances of TrapX on their networks, the new easy-to-deploy module does not require any customer intervention or network pre-configuration prior to installation.
The TrapX Self Service module was purpose-built to support massive DeceptionGrid installations in parallel. The software includes a free 30-day trial version of the complete TrapX platform, enabling organizations to test the effectiveness of the platform before making a buying decision. MSSPs will appreciate the new module as it enables them to extend security offerings to their customers directly from their websites.
"The security C-suite, SOC managers and MSSPs have enough to worry about in their ongoing efforts to protect their networks from the latest advanced persistent threats and advanced targeted attacks. The last thing they need is another piece of complex software that's difficult to install and could lead to network misconfigurations in the security stack that actually make their networks more vulnerable to attack," said Carl Wright, general manager of North America for TrapX Security. "TrapX Self Service DeceptionGrid technologies are designed to be easily deployed and fully scalable within mass deployment scenarios. The new module can literally be deployed and configured with just two mouse clicks, making it a perfect solution for those managing security in distributed enterprises and MSSPs that are provisioning multiple TrapX Malware Traps."
TrapX Self Service DeceptionGrid also features an API Center for easy third-party API integration and supports Salesforce lead generation, customer monitoring and verification control.
About the TrapX DeceptionGrid Platform
The TrapX DeceptionGrid platform leverages a unique patented architecture to identify, disrupt and analyze all attacks inside the network perimeter, including Zero-Day malware and advanced persistent threats (APTs). Using an approach called Adaptive Defense, TrapX's virtual-sensor network adjusts in real time to keep up with rapidly evolving APTs and constant change in multiple layers of the data center.
Unlike perimeter security solutions, TrapX defenses are embedded at the heart of the network and mission-critical infrastructure; agents and configurations are not needed. Cutting-edge malware detection, threat intelligence, forensics analysis and remediation in a single platform help remove complexity and cost. TrapX gives cloud providers and security teams an asymmetric advantage against modern advanced threats and enables providers to understand and remediate problems in real time.
