MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/29/13 -- Virident Systems Inc., the performance leader in flash-based storage-class memory (SCM) solutions, today announced the appointment of former HP vice president and general manager of its technology and consulting services business, Terrence (Terry) Flynn, as the company's new vice president of EMEA sales. Flynn brings more than 13 years of storage sales experience to Virident and will be responsible for growing sales throughout the region. Flynn's responsibilities will include building revenue and growth in EMEA and will assist in the enablement of existing and future strategic partnerships.

Flynn joins Virident from HP where he was vice president and general manager of HP's technology support and consulting business services for HP's server, storage, and networking businesses and managed more than $1 billion of business. He managed a team of 84 salespeople and developed a series of programs that drove significant growth and several new revenue streams inside of HP's Data Center Care portfolio. Prior to joining HPs technology and consulting services business Flynn served as sales director of HP's business critical systems group focused on big data appliances. Prior to joining HP, Terry spent 12 years at EMC Corporation, where he held a variety of sales and sales management positions. In his most recent role as Enterprise District Manager, he managed a team of 15 sales people, engineers and project managers that were responsible for all sales and customer interactions for EMC's entire product portfolio.
