GENEVA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/29/13 -- WISeKey, the bespoke Swiss digital security solutions company, was today named the Official Fan App Supplier of ORACLE TEAM USA, the sailing syndicate preparing to defend the 34th America's Cup in San Francisco this September. The WISfans© ORACLE TEAM USA app will allow fans to follow social posts from the sailors and team, providing even those without social media accounts a means to engage in real-time interaction with their favorite crew members. The app leverages the team's worldwide fan ecosystem (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, videos, photos, blogs, sponsor-supported social campaigns, etc.) to generate exciting, interactive and relevant content via a secure mobile app, with fun digital features such as biometric resemblance comparisons to ORACLE TEAM USA sailors.

The first version of the app is scheduled for release end of July and will be the first time this technology is used by a professional sports team in the U.S. In addition to ORACLE TEAM USA, the list of iconic sports brands powered by WISeKey WISfans© includes Real Madrid (in the Chinese market), FC Barcelona, and CR Flamengo.

A subsequent version of the app, to be launched in August, will incorporate links to a new ORACLE TEAM USA mobile game, the Official PUMA/ORACLE TEAM USA store and fan hub, 3D animation of the team's AC72 racing yacht and more. This will give fans a unique mobile experience, facilitating full interaction with the American team during the America's Cup Finals.
