SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/18/14 -- Memjet, a global leader in color printing technologies, today announced that 2014 was record year for product development and growth within its partner ecosystem. Partners -- Afinia, Beiren, Colordyne, TechNova, TrojanLabel -- introduced new printing solutions to the market to deliver an industry-leading combination of productivity, high-quality, and value for print on-demand business users and label converters. Many established Memjet OEMs achieved impressive sales growth across desktop label, wide-format and corrugated packaging applications through channel growth, private-label partnerships and direct sales momentum.
Addressing the higher productivity needs of converters and commercial printers, Colordyne introduced the CDT3600 label press while TrojanLabel and Beiren launched the TrojanTwo and the Supernova DP32 mini-label press devices. Afinia Label and India-based TechNova announced and are shipping two new full-color labeling solutions targeting the short-run label market, the DLQ2000 and the SmartJet LP112 respectfully.
Memjet's wide format OEM partners grew their install bases significantly in the past year; notably Canon, RTI Digital and Xante. Canon/Oce re-launched its ColorWave 900 at FESPA, which included a software upgrade and newly available hardware options that invigorated its worldwide sales channels. As a result, Canon EMEA and Canon Solutions America achieved positive growth quarter over quarter. Due to increasing market acceptance of short-run corrugated packaging solutions, Xante also increased its sales for the last three consecutive quarters. Lastly, RTI Digital expanded its global reseller network with new agreements with Adkote, CMYUK, Druma and Printingworld to distribute the Vortex 4200.
In 2014, Memjet released two new print engines, Aspen and Sirius, to equip its press and desktop engine partners with the technology to innovate. Aspen, a page-wide color inkjet print engine, is optimized for speed and high quality, printing at up to 225 feet/minute in full-color, targeting the label and commercial press markets. Sirius is a compact, single printhead, full color print engine reference design developed for label OEMs to speed up the development of cost-effective roll to roll print systems that perform maintenance without needing to cut the web.
Memjet currently has over 30 OEM partners across the globe. For more information on OEM partners, or to become an OEM partner, please visit www.memjet.com.
